Q: Any major differences between Mazda3 2007-2011?
In May I’m going to be purchasing my first car, and the last two that my parents purchased were both Mazda Protege. I really like the series, and I’ve heard great things about the Mazda3. I’m just wondering what the differences are between the years, especially 2009 and 2010. Is there a site that compares them?
A: Mazda completely redesigned the 3 for the 2010 model year, so you are talking about the first and second generation models.
The 2007-2009 model years are basically the same vehicles with minor cosmetic changes, each year.
Mazda began making Anti-lock brakes and side-impact airbags standard on all Mazda 3’s with the 2008 model year, so if you buy a 2007, make sure that it has these added as options.
Crash results without the side-impact airbags from 2004-2007 were very poor and ABS is a great safety option.
The 2010-2011 model is the second generation Mazda 3.
In addition to the major re-design in the overall look of the vehicle, the major improvements to the new generation include a 5 speed automatic transmission (prior generation was a 4 speed auto), standard stability control and standard traction control.
The only drawback is rear legroom is slightly less than the first generation, but the difference is mimimal.
Q: new mazda3 or new subaru impreza?
ok so its between a 2010/2011 mazda 3 gs or a 2010/2011 subaru impreza 2.5. Im looking in the price range of 22 000. Im young and to me looks are important, to me the mazda 3 looks better and comes with a sunroof. However the subaru is faster with 170hp and awd but they dont look as good as the 148hp mazda3 gs. What do you like better? what would you get? what do the girls like better?
A: pay a little extra and go for the 2011 WRX, it looks amazing in 2011, 2011 wrx n0w come stardard with sti look, including hood scoop ,wide body, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, great looking smoked rims, a better redesign bumper, better looking grill and functional cooling vents for the brakes , quad muffler tips , wider tires , higer spring rate, different bushings. and don’t forget… subaru wrx comes with AWD and TURBO , 265 hp
over all don’t bother getting the 2.5 or mazda 3, go for the wrx
to be honest, both 2.5 (sucks) and mazda3 is truly ugly with its front smiley face
again, thinjk about getting the WRX trim
Q: Tips when buying a used car…?
Hi,
I’ve been looking to buy a new car (it will be used, and hopefully between 2003 to present) and trade in my current one. I have information overload and don’t really know what to look for or how to go about starting. I’m trading in my 1999 Chevrovlet Cavalier and the car price I’m looking at is about under 10,000 if possible (for a used car). I was thinking Honda (the Civic specifically), or the Chev Aveo, or Toyota something, I don’t have any features that are a big deal other than a sun roof…its on my current car, and ideally I’d like to have it on this car. I have also been told American is the way to go, but I don’t know…so out of all the information I have does anyone have any wise tips for someone who is buying their second car, or out of the things I found below are any good choices. Thanks.
I saw these links for these cars, but looking at the carfax reports just made me more confused. Thanks so much!!

A: Your best bet is between the 3 and the Civic. Stay away from the 04 Aveo…it is made during the down days of Chevy. The 09 Aveo is alright i guess, but im just not a fan of it.
The 3 is a very nice car. Created under Ford’s rule, looks great, easy and cheap to fix.
The Civic is pretty much the same, except not as good looking and has no relation to Ford(not that it matters). And because its got lower mileage, i would say go for that one.

A: I worked as a car salesman for 6 years and i can personally tell you that the Aveo is a piece of crap. Im only talking mechanicaly. Japanese cars are great cars, thats why they hold their value so much.
